On 01/03/2024 we have received from the Government of Cantabria (Regional Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Trade), through the Society for the Regional Development of Cantabria (SODERCAN) the subsidy «Export more Cantabria. Opening up new international markets», to support activities to attend trade fairs and promotional activities for the internationalisation of our company.

The amount of the subsidy was 17,180.00 €, which represents 60% of the project.

During the financial year 2023, FUSHIMA S.L. has developed a project in our Guarnizo plant, within the laboratory area.

In collaboration with the company LEANSIS EXPERTOS EN PRODUCTIVIDAD S.L. a new production method has been implemented with which we have improved the efficiency in the production processes of the laboratory.

This project has been financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the ERDF operational programme 2021-2027, through the CRECE 2 – 2023 subsidy line.

Once again this year the children of Fushima employees have participated in the competition for the design of the CHRISTMAS GREETING to send our best wishes for the coming year.

It is as always exciting to go through all the drawings year after year and see our generations grow up. The drawings have been made this year by children between 3 and 13 years old.

Students of the last year of Industrial Engineering of the UC of the subject Product Design visited us last October together with the director of the Department of Chemistry and Process Engineering Berta Galán.

Our technical director Carla Peña gave them a masterclass to explain the whole R&D process that we follow in the company for the development of a new product, from the creation of prototypes and pilots to industrial scaling. They also visited the oral hygiene laboratory where we manufacture our cosmetics and were able to see up close the manufacturing and conditioning processes, as well as the facilities and equipment used.

FUSHIMA S.L. has been a beneficiary of the European Regional Development Fund whose objective is to promote research, technological development and innovation, and thanks to which it has carried out the Corporate Social Responsibility Plan and Carbon Footprint Register projects to support the creation and consolidation of innovative companies.

To this end, it has been supported by the Sustainability Programme of the Chamber of Commerce of Cantabria.

Between 2022 -2023 FUSHIMA S.L. has developed a project, in collaboration with the company LEANSIS EXPERTOS EN PRODUCTIVIDAD S.L., to improve the efficiency of the production in the Tufting Process.

We have implemented a standardised work system that allows us to optimise tasks, reducing waste and improving the quality of the parts produced.

Our company is made up of PEOPLE who share the ILLUSION of continuing our commitment to manufacturing oral hygiene products in Spain. The drawings have been made by boys and girls from 6 to 15 years old; and the truth is that every year they do better. It is especially exciting to review all drawings year after year and to see, through them, how new generations are growing up.

During fiscal year 2021, FUSHIMA S.L. has undertaken the «Technology and traceability» project in order to continue advancing in a SMART manufacturing model, improving the control of quality, manufacturing traceability and improvement of the company’s hardware equipment.
